This month ALIB Kids will be starting on January 6th. Children from 6 years – 12 years are welcomed to join Anthony for his class as he pairs breathing with yoga poses and introduces meditation practices to the kids. ALIB Family will be a class for parents and their children (2 -12 years). It will occur every other Sunday at 12pm!

ALIB Sports Foundations Program
Find strength & flexibility; energy & calmness; independence & compassion

The purpose of this yoga series is to introduce teen athletes to the practice of yoga while incorporating breathing techniques and rolling.

This program introduces athletes ages 10-17 to the practice of yoga while coming from a neutral trunk and stabilized core. Meghan will be introducing myofascial rolling techniques and breathing before the athletes come to their mats. While on the mats, athletes will continue to breathe while moving into different yoga poses. This program helps injury prevention, athletes coming off of an injury, and core strength for all.

Please register in the PT office with the front desk. The program will run every 6 weeks.

Did you know that kegling all the time after you have a child isn’t the answer to your pelvic floor health?
Elongating muscles in order to properly strengthen them is the keystone to pelvic floor physical therapy.
Tightness does not equate to strength.
Poor muscles need to be sequenced with the pelvic floor in order to give optimum function as well as how it applies to the rest of the body. Proper movement of the pelvic floor and diaphragm is essential in order to correct back, neck, and hip pain

There are a variety of treatment options to correct this dysfunction. You don’t have to live with it forever. Call if you have any questions!

What level is right for you?

Level 1:
appropriate for those with little to no yoga experience

Level 2:
Appropriate for those with moderate yoga experience, expect sun salutations and beginner arm balances

Level 3:
Appropriate for those with an intermediate to advanced practice. Expect advanced variations on arm balances, inversions, and backbends.

Specialized yoga classes

Yin Yoga:
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses, that are held for longer periods of time. This style of yoga focuses on the deep connective tissues of the bodyand the fascia that covers the body. This yoga is to help regulate the flow of energy in the body.
Teen Yoga:
Teen yoga introduces teens to the practice of yoga. Ashley helps guide them through a flow-like practice, but also dedicates time for the group to connect and talk about issues happening to them or currently and globally. Using breath and meditation techniques, ALIB is trying to create a comfortable space for teens to come and enjoy.

Gentle Yoga:
A slow paced style of yoga that uses breathing and meditation in conjunction with the poses.
Level 3 Playshop:
An adventurous class for those with a piqued interest or regular arm balance & inversion practice. Join Sharen as she warms up your core then leads you into a couple of peak poses safely and fully supported. Be ready to sweat, work hard, and have fun!

Meditation: Join a committed group of practitioners to explore meditation in the context of the Eightfold path.
